Belief complements confidence. The truth of the self.
Updated: Dec 1, 2024
We’ve all heard the term "Fake it till you make it," and yes, it's partly true. However, faking it will only get you so far. It won't be long before your façade breaks down, and you come to the realization that a real, deep-rooted belief in yourself and your reality is a far greater force—one that can drive you infinitely.
Belief in yourself is similar to confidence, but it’s much more powerful. See, confidence can come and go depending on your circumstances, emotional state, and environment. You can feel incredibly confident one day, only to be thrown off by a completely different reality. But belief in yourself stays with you, even when seasons change. It helps you feel your emotions without fully identifying with them, which is one of the most beautiful aspects of living. After all, we're here to experience everything this world has to offer.
I believe your conscious state holds the key to living a harmonious and abundant life. The sooner you dive deep within yourself, facing even the most hidden and uncomfortable parts of you, the more powerful and transformative your journey will be.
Feeling stuck is inevitable, and it’s actually necessary for your growth. However, many people spend their lives feeling as though they’re not making progress, and as a result, they become frustrated and discouraged. They end up feeling bad about themselves, but do nothing to change it. This negative self-talk only leads to stagnation.
The truth is, these people are moving somewhere—they’re growing and evolving with each day. Their lack of self-awareness and consciousness blinds them to the beauty happening around and within them. This is why building self-belief should be your number one priority. Believing in yourself means trusting your own inner wisdom and becoming your most reliable resource. The most terrifying fear shouldn’t be death; it should be living in disconnect from your true self. Imagine going through your whole life thinking you’re here to become what others want you to be. This happens when we lose sight of our deep-rooted purpose: to grow and truly know ourselves. When you become reliable in yourself, you become reliable in life itself. Remember, we are one with everything around us. Reflect on the people you’ve met, the experiences you’ve had, and the interests that flow to you. There are no coincidences.
Ultimately, it’s always your path, your choices, and your decisions. I’m not here to convince you to believe in yourself as though it’s your life’s mission. Frankly, I don't care enough to persuade you. But I do know this: once you go through the roughest patches—the tempestuous waves that throw you off course and almost drown you—you’ll somehow find the path back to yourself.
Your hand will reach into your heart and soul, pulling you toward something you've never seen, never felt, and never imagined. You’ll realize that everything connects. The world didn’t end when you thought it would, but it did begin when you least expected it to. Don’t spend years drowning in despair. Realize that you’ve been given all the power, all the resources you need to open your eyes in the depths of the unknown. You’ll come to see that you were never drowning; you were immersed in love, knowledge, wisdom, and discovery all along.
Your thoughts are like clouds. As much as you may feel you can’t control them, unlike the nature of the world around you, it’s different. Because you are the creator of your internal world. You have the power to connect with everything you can control within you, and to allow the rest to flow and heal. Be there for yourself like no one else can. There’s no better time than now.
It’s no wonder you were given consciousness and a mind in this life. The power you hold can sometimes feel unbelievable. But here’s the thing: if you're confident in yourself, you’ll naturally be confident in everything else. Your life starts with you, and if only everyone realised that nothing and no one can make them truly fulfilled.
As everything is a reflection of you, remember to thank every experience, person, and path that has shaped you. Believe in yourself the way you believe in others, and choose to forgive and heal yourself every single day.
